Live in Torrance? Work in Culver City? Managing from Pasadena? You can still arrange a private SCEP readiness walkthrough for a qualifying rental property inside the City of Los Angeles.
Two locations. One correct decision.
Google may localize a search around the owner’s current location. LAHD does not. SCEP applicability follows the rental property, its use and City of Los Angeles jurisdiction—not where the owner lives, works or happens to search that day.

View owner-location guideHow owners actually search
These searches often come from the owner’s home, office or phone—not from the rental building that received the LAHD notice.
A local-intent search can begin anywhere. We qualify the Los Angeles property rather than assuming the searcher’s current city controls.
Private pre-inspection walkthroughs and written readiness reports for visible, accessible conditions before LAHD arrives.
Licensed correction work can be separately scoped after the readiness findings identify maintenance, trade, permit or specialist needs.
Owners and managers can start with the notice, inspection date, unit count and access plan—even when they are outside Los Angeles.
Remote intake, local fieldwork
Send every page, the property address and the official inspection date from any device.
The actual parcel and agency notice determine whether the request belongs in SCEP readiness.
Visible, accessible areas are reviewed at the City of Los Angeles property within the agreed scope.
Photo findings are prioritized and routed to maintenance, trade, permit or specialist decisions.
Field-service geography
Current priority service areas include Harbor Gateway, Harbor City, Wilmington, San Pedro and Pacific Palisades. Other City of Los Angeles addresses can be reviewed for fit and scheduling.
LA County owner questions
Start with the property address—not the place where you are searching.
No. You may live, work or search from anywhere. The private intake can start online or by phone. The rental property being prepared must be within LAHD jurisdiction and fit the SCEP program.
Google localizes results using the searcher’s location and other signals. Our service is organized around the inspected property, so this page helps owners outside Los Angeles find the same City of LA readiness process.
No. Those are separate cities and their local properties are not placed into LAHD SCEP merely because they are in Los Angeles County. An owner based there may still hire us for another property inside the City of Los Angeles.
Current priority field coverage includes Harbor Gateway, Harbor City, Wilmington, San Pedro and Pacific Palisades. Other City of Los Angeles requests can be reviewed by address and schedule.
Send the complete LAHD notice, property address, inspection date, unit count and the name of an authorized site-access contact.
