No. You may live, work or search from anywhere. The private intake can start online or by phone. The rental property being prepared must be within LAHD jurisdiction and fit the SCEP program.

Can you inspect a Torrance, Culver City or Pasadena rental under SCEP?
No. Those are separate cities and their local properties are not placed into LAHD SCEP merely because they are in Los Angeles County. An owner based there may still hire us for another property inside the City of Los Angeles.
